History baby strollers

In all ages, parents have sought a way to bring the baby who is comfortable on the road. From tie with a piece of cloth bags, have transported babies in different ways. Today, most parents brought in modern carts that have evolved to make them increasingly practical.

But where did the idea for the strollers? The idea arises Baby Stroller architect William Kent, who was commissioned to design the gardens of England, well known for his work. In 1733 the Duke of Devonshire asked Kent if he could build a conveyance to amuse their children. Kent required to construct such a device, made a basket with wheels where kids could sit on it. It was decorated and was pulled by a pony or a goat. The idea quickly like other members of the royal family who had similar objects. These models are characterized by very high and unsafe and were destined exclusively for parents of high society. The cars of that era were very different from today. They were made of wood or wicker and harnesses were very expensive brass. They were luxurious and became artworks heavily adorned. The models also had names of princes and dukes as Balmoral and Windsor. At that time the baby carriages were pushed provided by animals, but in 1848 apareción a revolutionary design. The American Charles Burton decided to handlebars in them so that parents could push them. This idea was not accepted in America, so Burton moved to England and there characters as Queen Isabella, and the Pasha of Egypt, they used these models. In June 1889, a redesigned car appeared on the public scene. William Richardson patented his idea of the first reversible stroller. The crib was designed for baby out front or back to the parents. He also made structural changes to the car. Axes previously disallow the wheels to move separately. Richardson's design allowed increased maneuverability of cars. While the 20s began, World War I ended. Modern baby carriages were now available to all families. They were also safer, with new features like larger for older children, and more robust larger wheels, brakes. Before 1950, these cars were mandatory for all families. mimbreEn 1965, Owen Maclaren, an aeronautical engineer listened to his wife complain about traveling from England to America with a pram so heavy. Maclaren knew she needed something lighter. Using his knowledge of airplanes built an aluminum frame and created the first umbrella type stroller. This allowed the carts were easier to use and could be everywhere. Before the year 80, another measure was incorporated by Phil Baechler that two bicycle wheels tilt system devised the baby.
